FluxBar is a macOS menu bar app for live network speed, app traffic, per-network usage, hotspot budgets, history charts, and CSV export.
Getting App Traffic permission
- Open FluxBar and click Request App Traffic Permission.
- If macOS shows a permission prompt, choose Allow.
- If no prompt appears, open System Settings > General > Login Items & Extensions > Network Extensions and enable FluxBar App Traffic Counter.
- If FluxBar is not listed there, make sure you are using a signed release build from the Mac App Store.
What still works without App Traffic?
Global live speed, daily totals, network history, budgets, hotspot detection, settings, and CSV export continue to work. Only per-app attribution requires the Network Extension permission.
